What Active Matter is
Active Matter is a hardcore PvPvE extraction shooter from Matter Team and Gaijin Network Ltd. You play an operative stuck in a time loop, dropping into quantum-unstable zones to harvest active matter, loot realistic firearms, and extract before the zone collapses. Confirm system requirements and pick an edition that matches how you play. Standard is enough to raid; Advanced and Premium add stash and replicator headroom. Learn the Shelter and Monolith loop before you spend CAM.

Where should I start as a new operative?

Is Active Matter free to play?
No. It is a premium title. The Standard Edition is priced at 29.99 USD/EUR in supported regions, with Advanced, Premium, and Elite Squad bundles above that.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Raids support online co-op in squads of up to three, plus larger Nexus PvP. Isolated raids exist when you want PvE without rival operatives.
Which languages does this wiki support?
English, French, German, and Spanish. The three legal pages stay in English for every language switcher.
When do Steam and consoles open?
PC is already playable through the Gaijin Store. Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 storefronts open September 15, 2026. Gaijin owners can transfer the same edition and progress to Steam until November 23, 2026.
